To Villa Siena Families of Residents and Staff:
Villa Siena is pleased to report that there are no longer any positive Covid 19 cases in our nursing care unit and everyone is out of quarantine. However, there was one positive employee in the unit so we are required to keep visiting the nursing unit outside until cleared by the public health department.
For the Assisted living building we have 3 positive employees, but not from facility exposure, therefore we are able to keep dining and activities running. Results from our last round of testing for residents yesterday are still pending, however, we are optimistic since everyone appears to be well.
Due to the high rates of Covid 19 in the area, we strongly recommend being careful on outings and choice of venues. Outdoors is still the best choice, and wearing a mask as much as possible is also excellent protection. Due to staffing issues at the pharmacies, we haven’t been able to set up a booster clinic at Villa Siena, so we recommend residents set up appointments with their primary care physician or local pharmacy for the second booster as soon as possible.
We will continue to test everyone on a regular basis and monitor for signs and symptoms. Visitation in the Assisted/independent building remains outside or in resident rooms, not in common areas. Residents not in isolation, are free to leave the facility for appointments and other activities but please alert us if anyone has symptoms or if they are exposed to Covid.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Corine Bernard, Executive Director, at 650-318-5809 or cbernard@villa-siena.org or Ann Kaye, Director of Nursing, at 650 318 5838 or akaye@villa-siena.org.
Sincerely,
