To Villa Siena Families of Residents and Staff:
The transition to Spring has brought a reminder that COVID-19 is still present in the world. We had three staff members test positive in the past two weeks. These staff members are all primarily in the Skilled nursing unit. They all present mild symptoms and are home in isolation now. Our skilled nursing unit residents remain negative today, and we will continue to monitor them. One Resident in our assisted living building tested positive for Covid 19. They are in isolation and currently have mild symptoms. This person was not in contact with the other staff members and seems to be an isolated case. We are testing the entire facility, and there are currently no new positive cases.
We are taking proactive steps to ensure the safety of our community. We have a vaccination Clinic planned for the middle of April, but we will move it out a few weeks if we see people turning positive since vaccinations while sick are contraindicated. This is part of our commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all.
We understand that these are challenging times and your health and safety are our top priority. Just a reminder that if you are not feeling well, please refrain from visiting. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
