To Villa Siena Families of Residents and Staff:
This week, as always, we continue to follow the Santa Clara County Public Health guidelines and we are pleased to have no signs or symptoms of COVID-19 illness in the buildings. Our Staff and Residents are regularly tested per the guidelines and there have been no recent positive test results.
Due to the low positivity rates in our County we are making a small change to our isolation guidelines. Any resident that goes to a medical appointment or has a stay in hospital will be screened and in most cases, there will be no required 3-day isolation rule.
This is for doctor’s visits or hospitalization stays where we can expect everyone to be following infection control protocols. We would also reiterate the necessity for the person escorting anyone to an appointment to ensure they wear a mask, refrain from close contact, and practice good hand hygiene at all times.
Leaving the facility for any other outings, such as family visits, shopping, and so on will still require the 14-day isolation rule, with no attendance to dining or group activities.
